    My mate started his basic a couple of weeks ago and has a lass who is ex-RAF Reserve type and she's had to lob here jacket into the tailors for velcro - she's had to re-mount her medals too! Fuckin mental!!!

    Surely it would be better to use a strip of black nasty. The up side is it would improve te f*cking surplus blanket excuse for a uniform that the civilians in blue wear

    If this is true, I really do despair. What's next how to safely sew? No needle handling until you've got a Class one in needle use followed up with practicals? FFS

    RAF Survival Equipment Fitters (Squippers) Class 1 are actually the only ones allowed to operate military sewing machines in the RAF. There is actually an equipment course for this.

    O FFS velcro is this a wah or what, theres a hook you sew onto your uniform medal pin hooks onto it after ceremomy take off hook and attach as normal so fucking simple and easier for the awarding officer
