This is what we use in the North Western part of the US for logging. Several different types and styles. You may like the smoke jumper. My Smokejumpers have lasted me over 8 years now. Just take care of your leather and they will take care of you!
    Rough Cut Logger

The next pair I will get are called Nick's a man who broke away from whites and did his own thing. Same quality, less branding cost.

Do you have any good boots made in England? I try my hardest to stay away from chinese footwear. Really hard to do. I've seen some really nice leather belts and stuff from England. I would assume you have some really nice boot makers?

Felling trees is what I thought you meant... Sorry! Duh! Don't get boots for that! ha

I have been looking at issued Lowa Goretex, Scarpa and German Army Mountain Boots (Meindl?)

Any suggestions would be great - just want the best possible boot for Brecon. Suggest best boot by brand, not reasons why other brands are shit - everybody has diff feet so want to get a wide range based on actual personal use, I can then try a few pairs and see what works for me.
I woke up for a piss and spotted this.... hellfire! There is surely only one answer. Anything that fits, grips and is free issue.

Breaking them in from new on the first lap through 'windy gap' is a bad idea ok...

I will also look at the Hanwags (know where I can get a set for £30), they look pretty decent with plenty of ankle support. I'm sold on Altberg already so will have a look at the Warriors when I get a chance.

Does anybody know where I can get Lowa Elite black? They are the desert elite but for general wear...
This is the shittest Waah I've seen in recent times.

Now knowing that fell running is not logging, I was wondering if you guys have ever seen this event? It would be ideal for current and ex military personnel to keep in shape and kick some civilian ass!

The reality is always that ex-mil get their arses kicked by Clarke's shoes and cardigan wearing lefties, or OTC teams. The only thing we excel at is drinking to excess..

perhaps it's because you already extinguished your physical abilities doing multiple tours and carrying your body weight in gear. the lefties only have to carry welfare checks and never did any damage to their bodies...

    in my 30's feeling 60..
