They won't have shirts ether, they will be in jackets. No one is getting issued shirts.

is the badge paying for these nametags?

    if not who is?

surely the Scaleys are not having to dip into their own pocket for these 'items of uniform' - this would be illegal and the Sun would have a field day.

so who is paying for them? i doubt the tax-payer would be impressed if he is footing the bill just because the officers in the Royal signals don't know their own soldiers names?

I saw a Cadet wearing them, not two weeks ago, complete with ammo boots. Nostalgic or what !

I confidently predict that, having swapped everything over to a nice dusty colour, our next AOR will either be all white and rather chilly or altogether too humid and a very vivid green. Anyone take a fiver on it ?

you and me both know the answer to that one RGJ... signals being as we are, we have to dip into our own pockets as usual, garrison tailor is making a fortune out of us, gotta love the Div/Royal Corps!

Absolutely - my guess was always that as soon as we'd got everyone into MTP and binned all of the DPM, it'd kick off somewhere jungly.

I believe they wanted us to have some special gucci ones in MTP-esque material "special" from Blandford, but looks like that idea got mooted and using normal green ones.... for now.
