RGJ dunno where you have got your info but 2 rifles arent in pcs until sept 1st and we are wearing it down and out as directed by the RSM, as for FTX neither 5 or 2 rifles had pcs on.

from one of the 2RIFLES CSM's who was wearing PCS tucked-in the other week before going on Leave, and as mentioned above - 5RIFLES were wearing it tucked in for long enough, as were 4RIFLES until recently.
anyhow, more importantly now - is anyone else wearing Desert Boots with PCS now (not purely for deployment)?Last edited by RoyalGreenJacket; 25-08-2011 at 15:21.

My Lowa Elite Desert Boots arrived today courtesy of RV Ops - what a fantastic boot and I shall be wearing it with my PCS;black boots look feckin' stupid when worn with it. When the time comes, I will of course wear the isued brown boot but I'm not holding my breath.

You get issued those - why buy them?

Err, no you don't, at least not at MoD Corsham. As I have previously explained, the QM's Dept issued me two brand new pairs of Combat Assault Boots to wear with my PCS. If you already have Desert Boots thanks to service on HERRICK, then you may wear those instead. Having not done HERRICK, I do not have any Desert Boots, hence a purchase from RV Ops. They weren't cheap, but frankly I don't care...Lowa's are good fit on my feet and don't aggravate an old injury to my right foot.

I can't believe they (R SIGNALS) are still going forward with this ridiculous nametag idea! What a load of dog toffee!
