Ello...not been on here for a couple of years at least but get the emails. Me,, just busy working, kids etc. Max Hastings, interesting man, I went to the Combat Stress Christmas talk he did a couple of years ago up at Whitehall, was very entertaining. x
hello Fats, crikey this place still going...I remember the good old days of being abused by the nasty boys on here and then loved by you ;-)
oi oi gorgeous mature student, have you missed me xx
I'm a history student too. At least, at OU. Just about to start an interesting module on history of Film and television. Bismarck is next. Re my friend, I do like your enlightened attitude. It's most refreshing. And it would sit well on Jeremy Kyle. I am meeting her for a coffee tonight to catch up on news etc. Otherwise things are fairly dull here. I have spent my day reading a fascinating book by Bill Bryson, on history of homes, but is extremely far-reaching in what it covers. That and putting music onto I pod ( now I sound like a student!) Just listening to The Byrds at the moment. That shows how damned old I am. Take care and write soon. John
I wouldn't say your view is old fashioned, in regard to your friend that is. I agree, but then again, if no one is being hurt, then fair play. But, it does sound like a discussion for day time T.V ! Still nothing happened here of any relevance, oh well, at least peace reigns. And in the meantime, I shall endeavour to finish my work on Bismarck and Wilhelm. Yes, I'm a history student, mature student, but nonetheless a student. Who knows, I may even receive that damn degree next year. Be good, Rachel.
No news, no gossip, and no scandal, more's the pity. This place (West Lothian) needs livening up. I'm afraid, in order to share in some of the local scandal and or gossip, I may have to resort to being nice to the natives. Failing that I could always move to plan B: the erection ( always a good word for the forums ) of a Union Jack flag and a representation of the dismembered William Wallace, tied to said flag pole; should stir up some participation from the locals. Have a good day ; )
Hiya, How are you ? Long time no hear. I see the forum's are still as jovial as ever. Scotland's, well Scotland; four seasons in one day and I'm surrounded by jocks. And still having problems deciphering my own family members. Take care, Rachel.
