    Never.

    And thank fuck for that say I.

    Don't even wear my pathetic couple on Remembrance Sunday anymore because of the roving Waltenkommando's.
    Weird logic being applied here. You describe wearing your legitimately earned medals at the most important event of the year as 'pathetic?' Have a word. If you feel so strongly about the Walts, approach them, let them know that you know. I just regard them as slightly sad, inadequate people, desperate to be a part of something, more to be pitied. My old mate, an Infantry veteran of the push through Arnhem, would just laugh inwardly at them.

    I think you may have got hold of the wrong end of the stick so I will try to explain ;

    A couple of years ago I was given the third degree by a couple of Waltenkommando types who were quite probing about my service and I felt that it distracted from the reason for my attendance.

    I always go to pay my respects but I just don't wear my medals anymore.

    I don't think I need to wear my medals to say thankyou to the fallen.

    I think the NDM is a great idea.

    How else are The Lord Flash, and Bravo Bravo going to get something to pin on their chests? ;)

    Apart from the LS&GC, and Queens Jubbleys obviously.

    Fair comment buddy, I guess it's a personal decision whether you want to wear your gongs. I wasn't having a go; just think it's a shame that the Waltensaddoes made you feel that way about wearing them.

    I would be interested to hear what the Walts were up to when they confronted you. Care to expand on it? Are they still up to their old tricks I wonder?

    At last - the official answer!! Just to put everyone's minds at rest though, what exactly is your personal official involvement in whether or not a NDM will be issued?

    Do you not think that after a year and a half, not to mention almost 1050 posts, you could possibly let this inane fucking pointless thread die?

    I will lend my support to all these people wanting an NDM if they agree to footing the mounting bill for all serving soldiers who will be forced into wearing a mickey mouse medal.

    I'll also lend support. As long as I can bite the lips off every one of the gongless whingers. An impromptu Mr Ed impression whilst being presented a 'There, there....... never mind you tour dodger' award may make me crack a smile out.

    Do you think they could take this with it as well? Just over 3 years of that shite now, and strangely enough - still no result. I suppose it's given Outstanding something to do when he is not spewing over the back of park benches with his bottle of 20/20 in his withered old mitts though.
