What has bounty qualification got to do with it

Miniatures can be worn in February. Full size not until June. Fuck knows why.

Why would the TA have to qualify at a later date? It isn't like Regs who haven't done all their MATTs wont get it...

I'll keep that in mind though on the subject of miniatures.

Assuming the rules are more or less the same as last time one of the requirements is that reservists must qualify for their bounty in TY 2011/12. As ever there are one or two exceptions but I can't be bothered to look them up to get them exactly right but it has been mentioned on this thread many times.

Seems a bit strange to me, you can wear the one but not the other. Not sure I've got anything of a formal nature booked this year to wear the tiny gong (court mounted of course).

The qualification for reservists is (or was for the QGJM see 4. b.) joined on/before 7 Feb 2007 and earned 5 bounties or equivalent one of which must be TY 2011/12 which you cannot earn until 31 Mar 2012 - so you cannot be qualified for the medal until 31 Mar 2011.

Off topic alert. Just a quickie. One of the lads at our nick was tragically killed a couple of weeks ago. His funeral is tomorrow. We are turning out in police uniform for a Guard of Honour. Question: Should service medals be worn? I think they should but others have their doubts (now making me doubt myself) Any thoughts?

Now that doesnt actually say 'bounty qualified' it says completed bounty training years one of which must be the current training year. So your right in saying qualifying @ 31 MAR but I dont think you have had to have had 5 bounties in the bank.

Edited to say 'though I might be wrong' which is usually the case
