We await clarification, to my mind the only possible way would to have been a postie or similar. First in last out!!!
He must have left Southern Iraq, moved almost straight up into Turkey (N Iraq) and then back down to Kuwait (all on separate missions) to qualify for the Granby Medal and the two GSM Bars.

I am not saying I don’t believe him, but he must have been in a very specialist role to be able to do all that back to back with different units with very little time in the UK in between.

I would go as far as saying he would be almost unique

I know that, but it has what appear to be a few water mars on it and I can't seem to shift them, though, I've never been picked up for it.

Daft question probably, but never mind.

How many medals would you need to have earned before overlapping was overdone, and a second row of medals was worn?

Usually anything over 6 and then they overlap though some medal mounters will start overlapping over 5. A second row is never worn.

I think they overlap after 6, when you say two rows of medals, do you mean the actual medals or the ribbons 2 dress?

My Bn tailor shop go to two rows of medals at 5 ribbons with a row of 3 and a row of 2. Medals always stay on 1 row as far as I'm aware.

That's one of the perks of only having the QGJM, it stays nice and shiny so I don't have to piss about polishing it, hopefully the QDJM will be staybright too. Cheers easy.
