Not true. Regular service counts but only a number of years and only those not counted in the award of another medal e.g. LS&GC. Time calculated in my award for VRSM included regular, TA & FTRS.

If you aren't sure or your admin bods are as good as those in my final unit, email the medals office & they will tell you!
