The reason being is that a significant proportion of these dating sites are all template based from the same host company, who designed the site template and provide the webhosting.

You decide that grabbing a share of the on-line dating scene could be a tidy little earner. But you dont know to design a website, let alone develop it, add a payment system, and pull members in. And then run the backend "match making", email, and chat system. However, help is at hand... Company xyz will happily provide you with all that, as a "white label" website, free, gratis, for nothing. You just think of a [domain] name, register it, and host with them. Instead of an upfront fee, they take 50% of your membership subscription. The template is just that - a template. Your site will only look different to another in the colour scheme and domain name.

Many other sites are all linked too - hence join one and receive emails from several more.

What "ticks" me off is the email validation is an ignored process. Someone last year very helpfully joined "me" to several sites, with an initial email address that they could access. Once validated, they changed the email address to my personal address, with no validation from the site. Emails to be removed are ignored...

That said, some of them are good for a laugh. The blatantly obviously web-copied professional-quality photo of a supposed white Caucasian English 35yr old who hails locally, who writes in broken latin english. Many of these are scammers, some are "sex-workers". Oh, and be careful browsing some sites... the code is unfriendly.

My only advice - more for the males is, don't go for any female that has a photo taken from above their head looking down on an angle. I travelled from London to bloody Basingstoke once, for a photo like that, had a few drinks with the lass (that looked a babe in the photo) Before I knew it, it was getting too late for the train back. I had to get as pissed as possible knowing she wanted to have sex with me.

I'd say go to dancing - salsa classes or something. few of Mrs EDM's mates have all go for that when single and doen well out of it, plus my 50 odd year old male boss who split up with his wife got a few dates out of dancing classes!

No dodgy / fake photos, no sex workers, harder to put on a fake persona, so if you're after a "Semi normal person", that's what I'd suggest.
