had dinner here the other night with a lady friend- REVIEWS - Golden Union - Traditional Fish & Chips - licensed, thoroughly unpretentious, and good value. the fish and the chips were very fresh indeed, and some of the best I've had down here.

Hawksmoor are very good at steak- they've got three restaurants, in the City, in Spitalfields, and in Seven Dials. Might be a bit too far over east for you though. See their website.
