that whingeing irishman may have a point, if HVM fires his flats windows will fall out ,(an incentive then),, also the missile bus that carries the 3 kinetic darts drops away at 1500 metres , some poor old biddy will not be amused as it takes out her front room at mach 3.5,,, the darts that dont hit the hostile AC self destruct ,peppering an area, and then a destroyed AC takes out Peckham,,,i would happily put my green skin back on to partake in such a firework display, preferable entertainment to that one and only profitable greek export.

The shitebags who hijacked it, it would be unjust to blame anyone else in the CoC trying to deal with it. However in the hypothetical scenario of a mass casualty event the pressure on HMG for retaliatory action would be huge - not forgetting that the last decade+ of fighting was initiated on a bodycount of less than 3000.

If they come let's hope its from Tenerife and not Yemen.

I'd prefer it to be from Bermuda or Barbados. How come we never get to invade anywhere nice, with 5 star hotels, good weather and nice sandy beaches?

Most anti-air missiles are designed to shred the engines, structure and aerodynamic surfaces of aircraft with directed fragmentation warheads. Unless the plane is fairly small, I shudder at the thought of a 747 with its wing blown off plummeting into London.

It may be unpopular but I suggest the most cost effective method of securing our airlines is by passenger profiling and putting armed sky marshals aboard, like El Al. However the PC brigade couch it, an 80 year old granny with a Zimmer frame is not as likely to be a terrorist as a young Arab/Asian Muslim man.

So do I my civilian chum but my shudder is due more in part to the pelvis shattering orgasm I'd be experiencing witnessing quite a few tons of metal and AVGAS showering some tourists.
