Re: Know anyone Famous? A,B,C,or Z List
Ex wife once called Liz Hurley a bitch on garage forecourt in Hampstead, for the henious crime of being sexier on a cold winter sunday morning filling her car up, than ex would manage in all her life.
One day you'll be waiting there, no empty bench in Soho Square
And we'll dance around like we don't care
And I'll be much too old to cry
And you'll kiss me quick in case I die before my birthday

Arthur Askey once patted me on the head, being a little bit taller. But then I was only seven. :D

Re: Know anyone Famous? A,B,C,or Z List
I had the unenviable task of working on the All Star Cup at Celtic Manor last year.(Europe V USA).
I say unenviable because working for a bunch of overpaid cnuts doesn't really appeal to me. Brief assessment of what I thought:
Damian Lewis top lad
James Nesbitt See above
Ben Shephard Short lad
Meat Loaf Fat lad but radio rental
Chris Evans Drunk lad
Tuffers Even drunker lad
Ant and Dec Very short but Top lads
Kirsty Gallagher Beautiful but very short and up her own arrse
Ian Wright Surprisingly arragent arrse
There are loads more but cant' be arrsed to keep typing, interuppting my beer drinking.
No-one remembers beaten semi-finalists

Me too - had dinner with her (ie helped host her at a dinner night and sat opposite her all evening) back in the late 80's. Even now just the sound of her voice makes me seethe with loathing and seeing her face on the box makes me want to switch it off with a brick. Offensive, arrogant, rude, ........sorry, I can't go on.

I'm not one for idol worship but I've met and had my picture taken with the Lord Latif of Harpole, in his resteraunt on the Bigg Market in Newcastle. A very humbling experience.
I would've met Geoff (Buff) Hoon when he came out to Shaibah (supposedly to welcome back the BW from Dogwood) but it was made difficult by his refusal to eat next to any servicepersons in the dining room (he made someone clear out their office so he could eat in there) and the fact that nobody was allowed out of their office/rooms when he was mincing about. But I'm sure that if I had met him, I would've thought he was a great guy.
John Barnes and Leilani (Who!?) come out aswell. It was a strange moment to finish a patrol, go into the bar and see JB strumming out "No woman, no cry" on a guitar! Random.Je ne manque Ã* personne
Mais ce n'est pas grave
J'ai déjÃ* passé un bon moment
Un bon moment autrefois

Re: Know anyone Famous? A,B,C,or Z List
Chris Eubank lived near him,
Marti Pellow made his bed,
Maggie Thatcher at hotel reopening,
Christine Peake hung around with her sister,
Wendy Richards served her.
That's my sad list
Diane
