Does anyone know any good forces songs? Any that were specific to your unit or sung army-wide? As dirty as you like (or not)!

Song about a paratrooper in 1970 NI that threw himself upon a bomb. Knew an old para LE major that used to sing it when he was wazzed. Im not para, he was a cadet OC at the time but an awesome bloke. Soldier by harvey andrews was the song.

This song was about Sgt Michael Willets GC, 3 Para, who died in Springfield Road Police station, when it was blown up in 1971.

I can't recall to which unit it belongs, but my Granddad used to sing it to me when I was a kid. As a clue to its source, Granddad's job at Arnhem was throwing supplies out of the back of aeroplanes.

Many variations, depending on where the singer was stationed. Dad knew this version from 1944, Granddad knew it from 1937.
