I concur, food at the Hotel on Telic 3 was awesome, was a nightmare though when the power went down, trying to eat it in the pitch black. :(

Re: Favourite and worst cookhouses you've ever eaten in
Best - quite a few really. Lisburn in the early 80's (especially after the bar and sneaking into scoff at 11pm pretendng to be on shift), Bessbrook Mill, Brize Norton and Fort George Londonderry to name a few.
Worst - Westdown CAmp. In fact ANY of the transit camps on Salisbury Plain, but Westdown is by far the worst. I still gag at the tought."You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Re: Favourite and worst cookhouses you've ever eaten in
Any cookhouse that catered for Royal Engineers was just utter crap....if we were lucky and shared a cookhouse with another unit the food would improve three-fold.
Chatham literally scrapes the barrel in abysmal food without doubt.
In fact the first time I got fresh milk or any bread and butter was I became a civvy again.
