Oh Christ here's another one. Not only taking my sand and cement mixing literally (but yes, I did work as a labourer) but coming on telling me how you're single-handedly keeping me safe in bed at night. I wondered how long it would be before the old "I am" speech.

So let me get this right - even though I'm doing quite well for myself, I should jack it all in and join the TA just to say "I have served" ? Thanks but no thanks. Do you have a superiority complex?

How does the dictionary entry for "smug" and "deluded" read?

Done my bit, someone else is doing the job now. But I am not a civilian, I am an ex-military reservist.

I will be paying 9 people this month (8 IIRC are degree qualified) while I work part-time and pocket 5 figures a month, I can afford to be smug.

I rather think you are struggling with an inferiority complex, is it your weight problem?

The minute someone takes you to task you get all uppity and then try to prove how you are, in some way, superior. But instead I've made you look like mugs, or smug arrogant idiots.
