The TA cease to exist, think that's happened already by the fact they have stopped paying people.

    Anyway will anyone really care?

Difference now is that there ain't no cash, nor desire. Whereas I suspect that before, it was a matter of pride; now, it's just a matter of AiS. Still, the presence of the RFCAs will brighten things up.

Don't forget the train naming ceremony and of course the possibility of a parade somewhere.

As for the CofC not telling anyone, the reason is that most, if not all, confirmed events are piggy backing on existing FOE planning. Nothing of any note (i.e. a flypast by AAC TA pilots across London dropping yellow and green poppys onto the Mall) has been agreed.

Maybe we could have a whip round to buy the fuel for a 4 tonner to drop handfulls of "borrowed" target patches?

    A notable Centenary!

VMT for posting those period photos of the early TA. Fascinating.
"A Honeymoon In The Hand; or, Every Man His Own Wife". Cast List : Count Tostov, a ruined Pole; Scrotum, a wrinkled old retainer; the Brothers Bollox, a pair of hangers-on; Medical Dick and Medical Davy, two birds with one stone.

Too much clarity; never enough claret!

I can see it now, in a decade ARRSE will be full of young thrusters who will be complaining about all the old farts who go on about HERRICK, lurk in the office, "enable" stuff and how it's got fuck all to do with what's going on now.

That photo of Scarborough in 1904 looks uncannily like my 2004 "camp", - SLB acclimatisation! Are you sure it is from 1904??????
You know, some days even my lucky rocketship underpants don't help
