    Road Pricing & the reserves

just seen the report on the news (in work, thats why not on the p###) about the goverments road pricing idea, that may come in within the next 5 to 10 years.
this could well hit the reserve forces pockets a bit, especialy those who travel a distance to specialist units .

ok, so I travel 110 miles each way to Brize Norton at least once a month (sometimes more), usualy on a friday afternoon/evening (sometimes during rush hour) & return on a sunday, same distance.
how much extra will this new road charge cost me on top of fuel & road tax & will I be able to claim it back? will the forces be exempt for duty travel (we hope) ?

yet another b####y way for the gov'nmt to make living in this country more expensive again .

All items of service issue equipment are on a one for one exchange basis, so if either your parachute or bullet-proof vest fail, take it back to stores & they will replace it free of charge !

How about worrying if/when it comes in. Post again in 5 to 10 years.

If your soldiers aren't coming off most weekends telling those who weren't there "shit mate, you dipped out" then time to cull your training team with prejudice.
