I'm currently In the TA and college now myself. The priorities have been getting to me as I have many of time put the TA before college work. It's finding the balance of the both. But it is good to be getting this experience while I'm young and it's a nice schedule to have at this age, as I am really enjoying it.
I wasn't in the TA until I joined Uni but while I was in 6th form I did 4 A levels, ATC, had part time job (15hrs a week), and played rugby quite seriously.
It didn't seem to affect my studies, sometimes though I saw time when I was not doing anything to do bugger all and not get my school work done. Be organised and do everything you want well and employers/universities will(should) be more attracted to you.
i am a student in 6ht form and in the TA, they dont mind. however u can get sum stick for being a student, but its all bater and nothing to worry about. around 50% of the lad in my nit are students, either at uni or colege, so no worries.
im a 6th form studcent and in the TA, there isnt ne problmes at all, in fact half of my nit are studnes at uni or college
u will get stick for beign a student, but thats just banter

What are you doing? A Level Pidgin? GNVQ Illiteracy Studies? F*** me, if ever there were an advert for less time down the drill hall and more time studying...
Robbo9 has obvioulsy not spent enough time down the drill hall - his other thread is asking advice on what to take away for his first TA field weekend. Nothing like the voice of experience when giving advice, eh?
