I'm loving this thread, I've been a reg (79-84 ) and still a proud STAB - I've seen utter lunatics on both sides - I reckon the regs get more bluffers who reckoned they've done this and that and the ever faithfull ''I would have passed selection if it wasn't for an injured ankle''-I know at least 4 of these boring shits who now have left the regs and probably boring the arse off their now civvy workmates, and our unit USED to get some fantastically qualified loons - not walts really, but people whose antics brought much smirking-my mate once conned one poor sole that steritabs were artic pills to keep you warm in the Scottish mountains, mate got a bollocking for that 'cos the lad swallowed a whole 6 strips worth........fraid TELIC and HERRICKs have stopped us recruiting proper green skin fanatics

Circa 1979/82, I used to drop into 10 Para,s bar up at finchley on a wednesday as my 2 brothers were serving with 3 coy.Too much amusement, Mr Bodie aka lewis collins would be cutting about in his beige leather jacket and fcuk off flairs in the Bar, posing in angry stances and getting into the role of being a paratrooper, to be honest he did last for 3 weeks on the training programme, but jacked due to (filming) requirements. Mind you he did have a very cool maroon jensen intercepter. Happy days
I am not bound to please thee with my answer.

Only 3 weeks? Half of the publicity around Who Dares Wins was centered around how he was a TA Paratrooper in real life.

You mean of course the poverty walt, not posting Crap on ARRSE for sympathy about how he is scraping by unable to earn a living and living on the last of his savings and his wifes part time earnings?. Things had got soo bad for him he had to pop over to Orlando with the mrs and four kids to escape the horrific situation of living with no money that the Army had left him in.
Poor chap. And ze little fellow , if you are lonley in ze night i vill be in the old chatau, is no pressure...

Good evening all,
I am a fan of arrse, but have not previously taken part in any discussions, However:
I need to warn the world at large about a massive walt presently at large, recently seen on Top Gear and Meridian TV. This class 1 walt pretends to be a wheelchair bound wounded in Afghanistan veteran. He is an ex REME TA VM class 2 Lcpl. Promoted against my advice by an all knowing PSI.
This gentleman spent a week in baby Paras before exiting stage left. Still wearing wings fraudulently. Joined the TA in Hampshire. Conned himself a job at Bordon as an instructor, where he was also seen wearing a beige beret and officers cap badge. This walt was mobilised for Afghanistan and proceeded to "hurt" his back during unit PDT PT. He then spent over 2 years getting paid whilst the AMS dithered over his condition. He has lied to his family by saying he hurt his back rescuing personnel from a burning helicopter on ops. There are innumerable other lies and stories this sad twat has produced over time, but i think you get the gist.He is a massive liability to us all, by deluding the general public when he is found out eventually to be a massive walt , it will make us all look like cnuts.
Thank you for your attention.Last edited by Wer Da?; 21-02-2012 at 19:03.

It gets worse. He doesn't personally edit these sites, but he also has seemingly not corrected them. Walting by proxy?
History SAS of elite british special forces 22 B squadron Special Air Service
"Following the siege, the film Who Dares Wins was released. One of the stars, Lewis Collins, was a member of the Territorial Army who served briefly in 21 SAS before leaving, by mutual agreement, because of his high public profile."
The Unofficial Lewis Collins Fansite - Accolades & Tributes
"In February 1980 Lewis went through his T.A.V.R. selection course at Hythe Assault Training area, gaining the coveted Red Beret and joining 10th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (10 Para, now disbanded). He later said that it was the proudest moment of his life."
Boy did good in 3 weeks!Last edited by Roger_The_Cat; 21-02-2012 at 19:09.
