What he says. I've been following this thread and I wish you speedy recovery.
Sent from my iPhone using the ARRSE application. No excuse for fat fingers. Learn to spell. We trained hard - but it seemed every time we were beginning to form up into teams we were reorganised.
I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganising, and what a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while actually producing confusion, inefficiency and demoralisation.

Look on the bright side - even with a left leg like a jigsaw puzzle and a right thigh like a Doberman's snack you will still be fitter than anyone in the R Sigs (v)!
All the best to you and the others involved.

Thanks guys, me and my oppos are currently getting used to our new rides, trying to turn on a wheelchair isn't as easy as it looks. The Doctors worked all night to make mircales on one of the blokes, hes on the mend now and will take a long while to heal, but hes a bloody strong soldier. the doctors say I might take a 4 or so months before i can actually walk at the quick time so i have been very lucky, xrays and scans showns that the damage wasnt as bad as orignally thought. and its the lower left foot that has taken the brute of the force however obove my ankle is going to heal rather quickly compared to my foot. The shrapnel just looks like a couple of deep scratches. looks more like an injury you would get falling of a bike. just cant believe the whole thing.
