He should have put down heathen. I believe it's ok for them to date outside of their marriage, as long as the other party is of a different religion.... otherwise that'd be adultery and against army code of conduct..
^I guess that had to happen. TA not really the best option for a reverend, some I've come accross work as a normal vicar during the week but in an Army camp.
My unit has a TA bish. He is a normal vicar in the week with his own church and everything.
One lad in my last unit put himself down as a pagan on joining. Roman Catholicism apparently covers paganism as well, at least according to his ID discs...
I like the venerable David from the HAC. Top chap.
As far as filling in forms is concerned, top tip from the past. When in a regiment which comes from a place, like Ireland, where the locals think that religion and dogma matters, and when about to enplane onto a hercules going somewhere, simply fill in the religion bit with "Zen Bhuddist".
A whole company of us did it once, in order to wreak havock in the event that the plane crashed and we all died.
Imagine all the poor mothers having to attend a funeral with cool looking Shaolin shaven headed groovy Jap monks instead of the local Father/Minister in Londonbelfast/Dublinderry etc etc.
"Ach well, its what it sez on the form missus, his last wish so it was"

Paganism is an umbrella term for a multitude of beliefs and faiths that include Wiccan, Druidry, Heathen, Astartu, Norse, Celtic etc etc. and any pagan worth their salt would not want to be lumped together with RC's.
