My MP Steven Pound has been remarkably quite on this one, not something he can normally be accused of. But then there are no "minority" votes at risk are there Steve? Labour are on the ropes but beware, a cornered rat is always at its most dangerous.

I realise its not de-rigeur or overtly vote winning, but surely her conscience should get her into the chamber and at least show our troops the support they deserve.

Done...
Emailed my MP Claire Short expecting nothing Thursday last week and received a letter on Saturday on House of Commons headed paper stating her support - whether these are just words or she spends lots of her expenses on a crack team of secretaries who knows?
Also had a very good email from David Davies who I emailed separately.
Hopefully this will turn into another Ghurkha -esque issue and will be another nail in Brown's coffin!

Guys,
I was quite disappointed to note my local M.P. one Bernard Jenkins (Colchester, IIRC not standing for re-election, employer of relatives and other iffy financial dealings on expenses), had not signed the EDM as of 11am Monday morning.
Given his footprint is slap-bang in the middle of 16AA, amongst others, and the fact that he's on the all party reserve forces group, might have inclined him to give a sh1t.
<sigh>
I'll send him a harrumphing Telegraph russling mail, but there's every chance he's off in the trough somewhere currently.
