    If you need to ask what sort of stuff would be handy to keep in your pocket then you don't need to keep these sorts of things in your pocket.

    As he said.

    Don't have something just to have it to look good. If you don't know what you need you don't want it. If your OC told you to use it you would be stumped and look stupid.
    If it sounds like a good idea - do it. It's easier to apologise than it is to get permission.
