I was just asking... nothing wrong with that. i mean if you go to a bank to open a saving's account, most people ask about the interest and how much they receive. Similar basis, especially being that i do have to make plans if they plan on getting rid of me- which is easier if you know what you've got to work with.

Look i ain't the cunt- i just asked a simple "yes/no" question, yet so many of you seem offended by it for pathetic reasons and made it bigger than what it should've been... What? you never asked a question before? Or maybe it's merely because you were unable to get anything? If it was your choice, so be it... but it's not my fault the Government is run by a parliament so intent on saving that extra penny, that they're determined to sack good working people in order to do so- they're the ones you should be complaining to, I'm just trying make something of the situation and see where I stand.
Besides, you don't know me, you never will... so back off with "make-yourself-feel-better" judgements and go pester someone who actually gives a shitLast edited by tonym5493; 14-10-2011 at 10:15.

They are not sacking good people they are discharging someone unsuitable for Army life, if your boo boo hurts every time you put weight on then what use are you to them, why would anyone waste money, when we have 10 good lads capable of passing the simplest of test, waiting for the chance.
Nothing to do with the government.
Let me put this simple for you.
You will make nothing of the situation, they have already given you 3 months pay as a good will gesture to try and see if you will get your shins sorted, you haven’t so thanks for your time but your not suitable.
You stand, obviously when its not hurting you no where, you have not passed the grade simple, end of again thanks for the time but off you hobble.
Its just the same in the real world, you've simply been let go by your employer because your work is not up to the required level, they have given you the opportunity to improve, which is more than fair but it just hasn't happened so as in civvie street your let go.God is not on the side of the big battalions,
but on the side of those who shoot best.

I'm done talking, this forum's closed- go find someone else who gives a shit, an injury is an injury. Not my fault, not the army's fault. Without the injury- i can pass the tests, so judge yourselves before you judge someone you know nothing about or cry to someone who actually gives a shit- have a good day...!!

Hello tonym this is Old Rat.
If you are determined to stay in, you have to fight. Us Rats have some history with a very similar problem if you 'd care to take a squint at our previous. My two pennorth: Get yourself to a proper sports physio pronto. They must be able to video and analyse your running action
then create tailored boot inserts from the data generated by the video data. Cost is about £70 consultation, less than £200 a set of inserts, say £60 (ish) a session for physio with all the right kit. IF shin splints is the problem, it IS beatable. If you need a recommendation pm me. Consultations can be fixed up round here ( Midlands) even over the week-end.
IF you are determined to fight to stay, you'd best get a move on.
Good luck.
Old Rat
Out[Q
UOTE=tonym5493;4002015]I don't want to leave, and i've made that clear to the MO and troop staff. I've been placed on full time rehab, so i get two sessions a day working on the staff's build up program. I'm not unfit, and had progressed to running the PFA without major problems. I was doing fine until, as i mentioned in a previous post, the Rehab staff took me out for a loaded march (although in my case unloaded under his orders) and my shins just flared up again.[/QUOTE]Neverseenanythinglikeitinallmelife.

All together now "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
There is no requirement for most people on here to judge themselves as they already been judged and have hit the mark.
You asked for advise and got it, sorry its not the advise you wanted to hear but, you are asking for sympathy from the wrong people.
Shin Splints, are not a major injury such as say a busted knee, or damaged ligaments or broken bones, more or an occupational hazard of the job, yes they are F**king painful, but you can work beyond it after a little rest and training.
Clearly young man you give a shit or you wouldn't get so wound up.
Good look in your future career choice with an attitude like that I'm sure it'll be short and colourful.
God is not on the side of the big battalions,
but on the side of those who shoot best.
