    Hello Xrock and Suzzie,
Mum to 16 year old son who began at AFC Harrogate on Sun 6 Sept.
Yes it would be great to support each other over the next year or so. My son has joined reme and will be an aircraft technician too. My son has not yet rang home, I just need to hear that he is okay and is settling in! How insensitive can they be? I cried yest when he went, it was so overwhelming. I feel sad that he is not here, but proud to be a part of the British Army family, and I hope he can really make something of himself.
    Love to hear from you

well my wife and I dropped off our son, gut wrenching; managed to hold it together while I was there with him. We had 4 txts from him last night said he could not call but was allowed to txt, apparently he can call from tonight after 8. I txt him around 9pm and he was waiting for his bedding and the Cpl to come round. My son is in 8 platoon Cambria, anyone else got any boys girls in 8 platoon I know it is mixed

    Hi everyone
Had quite a few text from our js. He asked if we were ok (something that has never crossed his mind before) He also says its a bit boring doing the admin but I keep reminding him its easy money when your stood around doing nothing.
He is in 15 Platoon Peninsula. he was chuffed to get a window bed space, first come first served was the order of the day.He has a good signal from there too, not so good in other bed spaces. Apparently the mash was not upto his dads standards though. His older brother has already pinched his moped.

    Hello to eveyone,
My son is in PL18, peninsula. Still not heard from him yet, but I see from your messages that maybe he just hasn't had the chance yet.
I just need to hear his voice and to know he okay. Perhaps they are all just shattered lol.
