Commercial Assistant

Salary £40k- 45k pa + benefits
Location Richmond Upon Thames

JOB DESCRIPTION

Primarily assisting the Surveying Director and the Commercial Risk Manager in their duties.

Tendering

(1) Prepare contractual file in order for the Commercial Risk Manager to review;
(2) Ensure all performance bonds are sent to surety for comments;
(3) Ensure that the accounts department have checked the financial status of any potential clients;
(4) If required, ensure that the relevant person has completed the non-negligent insurance proposal;
(5) Responsible for the pre-construction team completing the risk register;

Performance Bonds

(1) Preparation for the application of bonds;
(2) Keep the Bond Schedule updated;
(3) Chase for certificates (practical completion, making good etc) in order for our bond liabilities to be released;

Warranties

(1) Ensure that sub-contractor warranties are sent to the required subcontractors;
(2) Maintain a warranty schedule for all of the warranties that client provides;
(3) Maintain a Subcontractor warranty schedule for all of the warranties that our subcontractors provide;

Sub-Contracts

(1) Maintain Sub-Contract files for each project;

Parent Company Guarantees

(1) Maintain a PCG schedule of all the guarantees the Group have provided;

Insurances

(1) Maintain an insurance register for all project specific insurances;



Contracts

(1) Establish and maintain a ‘live’ contract information system;
(2) At the commencement of a project assist in the preparation of the contractual file for handover to the project team;
(3) Maintain and update schedule of certificates (completion, making good etc);

General

(1) General administrative duties;
(2) Maintain a library of standard agreements, contracts and other legal documents and update as required.
(3) Assist in producing a monthly Project Review;
(4) Maintain and update commercial files;


Qualifications and Experience

l Industry Experience
l Legal or Commercial Qualification
l Excellent IT skills
l Excellent communication skills
