Carrying out fire-fighting and rescue services, you will instanly respond to reported incidents on the airfield and within the Cranfield University campus. This will involve taking appropriate action in line with procedures to preserve life and minimise damage to property. You will also be expected to administer first aid if required.

Experience of fire fighting is not essential but an aptitude and ability to develop the skills and commitment to work as part of a team are essential attributes. You must have a curent UK driving licence and an LGV 2 Licence would be advantageous. You will be medically fit in accordance with curent CAA standards for fire fighters and keen to undertake regular theoretical and practical training. You must have good communication skills and have the ability to work within a small enviroment.
