Quis custodiet custodes, or something like that!
You forgot the ipsos, old boy! Quis custodiet ipsos custodes.
Sheesh, a black mark for the beak who taught you Latin.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather, to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand - chocolate covered strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'Woohoo - What a Ride!

Ah! there you have it! My latin is rather rusty but I believe it might be "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes"

Interesting this. The switchboard at the CO put you through to his extension - so Ware must have been on the CO's internal directory..... enquired extensively of HOSDB - the actual title of the Home Office research branch Short claims to have worked for - and they have no knowledge of him.

This is almost certain proof that Shortt is living (and trading) out of Wexford.
The more I think of it he would have been insane to boast of SAS Service & live in Co Louth in the 80's & 90's. The Jon Bon Jovi's would have had him in the Castletown River face down.[/quote]
Unless of course, he was an advisor and trainer for them !!!! Fits the bill, Russians / Mujihadeen Them / Us

Dammit - one missing 'ipsos' and my credibility is destroyed as well!

No - if you look at pictures on the web, you can be fairly certain that Shortt's picture was indeed taken at FJS Karlsborg (Swedish Parachute Ranger School).

This would certainly fit the pattern of what Shortt was doing on UK military bases around that time, before being 'carded as an Int nuisance'.
Hopefully Sardaukar's contacts will enlighten us.

Front sight, press!

Re: 'Baron' Castleshort Part 2
Folks, I've been presented with a fair-sized collection of badges and pins over the last 40 years. They were given either a gesture of appreciation or friendship - neither of those things make me 'entitled' to wear them.
Some Nations are a little less stringent with some things - that's all it means.
I think Gun_Nut's analysis is perfectly correct.
Incidentally, I've had the Int Nuisance validated from another source; Jim was just trying to ge 'in' everywhere, whether for business purposes, credibility, or pre-planned CV expansion is anyone's guess. I doubt very much that he did it to 'Help Defemnd The UK' though.

I believe that the "referee" is an ex marine(?) ( or so I was led to believe) a very young Brin Morgan ,ex of the Shadow Warriors Society - an offshoot of the Stephen hayes outfit of similiar in the early eighties.
Mr Morgan "went" to South Africa to t train some unit or other but now i beleive resides in HMP for drugs and firearm offences (Late last year )covered in some Welsh papers.
After separating from Hayes he taught E&E exercises up around the Corwen area where he had a farmhouse in a back end of nowhere. Basically run like fcuk away from the dogs (rottweilers) i remember in the blurb
His original dojo was in Rock Ferry on Merseyside which now teaches TOSHINDO - Hayes new brand after the split.
He now has friends here http://www.bujinkanmanchester.co.uk/brin.htm
I believe this is him

OK I'm happy to admit that no one has ever taught me Latin, but thanks to Wikipedia I was able to find out it translates roughly as "who watches the watchers".

That's the one - it's his stage name when posing as the last great Gaelic Warrior, direct desendant of The King's Bodyguards and Hereditary Hungarian.

Re: 'Baron' Castleshort Part 2
The thread accepted earlier on that there is no such place as Castle Cosey Castle Bellingham..etc etc ...but there is a Castle Court , Castle Bellingham.....
As it seeems a fairly rural area ,probably covered by one postie , is it not too much to believe that the postal address is altered on purpose to throw the weaker hounds from the scent?
If the postie saw the addy he would immediately recognise it as Jimbos "walt "deliveries and post it as so.
There are loads of addresses in the area as castle court.....
or is that so thin its anorexic?

Been done, matey ... there's a development of 5 houses on the site of the old Castle Cosey on Brewery Street ... and the local Post Office in Castlebellingham knows Shortt lives locally.
