I just think the bloke is a bit of a tit.

And as others have said, what is this association he claims to be part of?

    Errrm, calm down, outragers.

Who is this 'British Army Association' this attention-seeking knobber claims to be part of? The only google hits relate to this story. He's not RBL.

Just because something is army related does not mean you can then break the law!!

How would you feel if the retard next door stuck a flag from some football team up in his garden? It's the same thing. Why doesn't he fly a Union Flag if he wants to support our troops?

He is just after airtime, he is clearly a clueless twat highlighted by the quote "So I can fly the flag of Iraq, BAGHDAD or Afghanistan but not the army flag. It's ridiculous. It's a show of support," Since when was Baghdad a country?

    Loser.

I have known several people fly regimental or service flags at their premises, and still do, without hindrance

This is geniune, as I have seen the letter from the council.

Do you think that so many national and regional newspapers, tv and radio would run with this story unless it was verified...

From your response I take it that you are a civil servant!!

Your the tit for not having any respect for the county you live in...

You wouldn't happen to have sold the socialist worker in a previous existance would you?? Or maybe you're just an illegal immigrant sponging off our society??

Too busy to read the article? Or too far "up your own ArRSe to know the difference between Regimental Colours and the "non-ceremonial" flag of the British Army?

I mean, who the fcuk has access to Colours outside of the Regiment in question or in the case of 'retired' Colours, a museum or church?

How many can recall the racket made by a flag flapping against a flag-staff?

I know I would object if my neighbour wanted one outside where I'd be listening to that racket all the time!

Another non-story, whipped-up by the Press for the delectation of the mouth-breathers and window-lickers.

Non-story... the only non-story is you!! I don't know what flagpoles you have been near recently?? but there is no noise... and if you actually knew your geography... Maldon is in the middle of farming rural Essex... and not in sad middle class modern boxes with no character (just like the poor souls that live in them)!!

I have to presume that you are one of them!!

As for the posters denigrating this good guy, shove off back to the Liarbour Conference - it starts soon.

The Army has been so devastatingly denuded of funds, and political support; practically to the point of destruction, that it is good that somebody appreciates what the underpaid, poorly equipped, political pawns, that are the Army and who shoulder the burden of this country's ill-advised adventures.

I'm seldom if ever cross with others' opinions on this site, but the detractors of this 'geezer's' doing his bit relieves me of quantities of urine.
Dont get a flea in your shite because some "demolition contractor" (that's pikey to you) Was asked to take down a rag he's got no right to fly, and probably nicked off a table from under the noses of poppy sellers.

    hang him i say

    Then shoot him...

no hanging and shootings too good for him, he needs a good kick up the arse.

And I reckon he's a bit like "Chinese baby milk"

    He f-ucks kids.
You're on thin f-ucking ice my pedigree chums, and I shall be under it when it breaks. Now, f-uck off.

You're the one with the wrong information.

If the curtain twitching parish councillor hadn't raised the issue with the council in the first place then none of this would have happened. No one in the village objected.

The rest was all down to word of mouth before the big boys got wind of it.

So as they say - one should never look a gift horse in the mouth.

Why don't you spare a thought for those men and women who are risking their lives everyday, and for what they go through and what their families go through and then get your head out of your arse and try to become a decent human being... It may take several operations but I am sure it would be worth it in the end... because right now you are about as useful as the shit that comes out of my chickens bottom of a morning!!

From your attitude I think you are a button presser who has nothing better to do than w**k over your pc on a daily basis as that's all the action you are ever going to get!!

"Hurrah for the Works Group" just doesn't have the same ring...

"A volunteer is worth ten pressed men."
So, a TA battalion or nine Regular Guards battalions? Not a difficult choice, then (especially as we don't have nine Regular Guards battalions).

I am a number. I am not a free man.
