I think the next time I advertise for staff, I'm going to display the following:

"In order to address the imbalances being created by selective discrimination against the white majority indigenous male population, we have a vacancy for such a person who lives in the South East as a UK resident and are of working age (no upper limit), our job is the one for you."

Ahhh! So you are discriminating against indigenous male white people who do not live in the South East - blo0dy area-ist! ;)

Looking at the course write up, they can't even spell properly.
I'm mystified; How would anybody other than her sergeant or inspector(i.e. line management with access to personnel files) know this? Or do the police have the same pisspoor quality of slackjawed yokel mismanagement and disregard for PERSEC as every other civil and commercial organisation these days?
That is precisely the point. She is, and never has shown (to my knowledge) any suggestion of being gay. She lied to get let in, used the system, pure and simple.

It is common knowledge that the force concerned weren't accepting applications from anyone at the time she enrolled unless they were either from an ethnic minority or gay, and as a 5' 8"" blonde with blue eyes, an English rose complexion and a rather traditionally English name, it's reasonable for her colleagues to presume that she fell into the latter category.

I'm sure poor management has helped ensure that everyone knows the basis for her application, for those incapable of working it out for themselves. Now she's in, and proved herself with flying colours, she's decided to get married to her boyfriend of 11 years.

Now, converting lesbians, Josey makes a valid observation.........
They call me Pyrogenica for a reason - work it out.

As far as I am concerned, my opinion is worth ten of yours.

Fair dos. It does highlight the pointlessness of trying to discriminate for/against using sexual preference; there are no legal means of verifying declared preferences so it's a waste of time. As for positive discrimination on ethnic/skin colour lines; you can poke it, it's a farce which rewards mediocrity.
The interweb; it's not a big truck, it's a series of tubes.
