Thread: Iraq/Afghan mission statement?

I'm meant to be giving a presentation on a topic of my choice, and I want to talk about what the Forces are doing in the hot'n'sandy places. However, I'm finding it tricky to pin down beyond "supporting democracy" (and saving Liabour's face while they keep cutting equipment budgets and paying chavs to breed instead ... ).

My audience are a bunch of fellow feckwits who know sod all about the Forces beyond the usual student leftie "baby-bayonetting bastards" nonsense.

If there's a statement somewhere, I'd be grateful if someone could post a link or similar. (or beat me round the head for failing to spot something obvious!)
