Why aren't you a Poppy Collector if you are so worried?
And don 't give me crap about being too busy, that what they all say!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

Not worried, just surprised. I haven't got one yet and will have to hunt around Islington tomorrow for a 'seller'. Anyway, I already do a lot of work for charity, I just don't like to talk about it....

Yes. I'm a lot harder than your average civvy...........................and I've done a sim 45..........at night.
mmmmmm but are you 60 plus, and can you take on the hoodies in anger.!!!!!! :D :D
Not even 40+ and I'd take on the hoodies with pleasure!
And the full weight of the law would smite thee with great vengeance. Would I sell them in certain areas? Would I fcuk. I'd rather do a sim45... at night. Erm... what's a sim45?

If they should once obtain a connivance, they will press for a toleration, from thence to an equality, from an equality to a superiority, from a superiority to an extirpation of all contrary religions. John Pym 1584-1643.

I reserve the right to say what the fcuk I like. The serried ranks of headstones in Flanders, Normandy and elsewhere give me that right.

As stated on a couple of other threads about this matter, you should see Poppy People on the street from this weekend as local councils usually only allow one week for street collections. Councils have to licence all street collectors so whilst I initially moaned about the one week rule, there are only 365 days in a year and an awful lot of charities, so it's not so bad.

    Re: Lack of Poppy Sellers?

I agree that there don't appear to be many poppy sellers in central London. Saw 1 last week at Euston and that's it. But my local shopping mall has 5 areas where you can get a poppy, each staffed by old boys with their medals and berets on. Including one old chap with his 5 WWII medals sitting in a wheelchair as he's got no legs. As I said to my wife "THAT'S why I wear a poppy".
