Re: STOLEN MEDALS - REWARD OFFERED
You could do worse than let them know. Or - even better - give Dante your details and he'll pass them on to that forum. Rest assured, if they appear on eBay they'll be spotted.

I reserve the right to say what the fcuk I like. The serried ranks of headstones in Flanders, Normandy and elsewhere give me that right.

Re: STOLEN MEDALS - REWARD OFFERED
My house was burgled in January and the buggars stole my medals. (Rather strange as underneath them was a 1oz Krugerand that they didn't take!
A question for the readership:
I am thinking of setting up a website listing a register of missing medals. I realise there may be legal issues, but it might reduce the value of stolen medals and possibly allow some to be returned to their rightful owners.
Would this be a good idea?Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

Next day into mess to see manageress, she says nothing has been handed in. So I sent an internal email to all mess members suggesting that they may have been picked up by 'mistake' and theyd be no good to anyone else as they were obviously in the order of the tours Id done. the fact that 1 of them was the OSM for Sierra Leone and I was the only one in the mess with it that it wouldnt be too hard to notice if someone decided to wear them at a future function and theyd only get pennies on ebay as miniatures meant nothing to collectors.
They arrived annoymously in the post a couple of days later.

But they do, what about the S/Sgt in rearparty to one of the Guards battalions who were on ops, he nicked and then flogged the gongs to his mate and was caught because they ended up on e-bay. We have the odd pikey in the ranks as well!
