Two thoughts:

Firstly; it's extraordinary how 'religion' can twist and pervert comon decency and a sense of justice. Why are the Americans so prone to quasi-religious rantings about a raft of issues? How does a society with a high GDP, a good standard of living and a (relatively) good education system produce such unthinking, unchallenging and gullible morons? Surely, we are moving away from medieval thought processes, dominated by religious claptrap, and shifting to a society and culture where thought driven ideas, based on evidence and rational thinking, shape and form our society?

Secondly, what she says is, in my opinion, appalling, vicious, spiteful and degrading. Nonetheless we live in a society where freedom of thought and speech are fundamental rights, provided they do not incite violence. She has an equal right to her opinion as every other person. Sadly, the press exposure that buffoons like her are given, expose her bile and vitriol to a far wider audience than she deserves.

Absolutely unbelievable. How can anybody be so cruel as to picket the funerals of dead soldiers and young blokes whose only 'crime' was to be gay?

Reference some previous posts though - I don't think Americans have a monopoly on producing idiotic trailer trash. Remember the scumbags over here who vandalised a paediatrician's home because they thought her job had something to do with paedophilia?
