I think that the thread's title is misleading. There is nothing 'serious' about such a stupid question

Even better, if enough benefits scroungers open a vein because they can't afford piss, fags and plasma tvs, an economic recovery could be just around the corner.

This is a reference to a discussion on the BBC Radio 2 Jeremy vine programme which was aired on Thursday 26th July to which a woman claimed that 91 people in the UK have already sadly committed suicide as a direct result of this governments wild austerity programme.
Just as soon as Blair is in jail for the death of Dr Kelly we can discuss your question further....

You'd be better off going for Margaret Beckett over all the farmers who topped themselves through utter dispair when she completely fucked up the farm payments.

    Stupid question though.

Err .. It was the hard working people of this country who's businesses and long term efforts have gone to the wall i was focusing on.

Surely if people are slotting themselves out of the normal rate of things, are you seriously suggesting that society just turns a blind eye and just accepts it ?

I can see Labours new election slogan right now .......

"More people have committed suicide under the leadership of David Cameron than any other British prime minister"

    And that's no fucking joke!

If you find me intolerable at my worst, then you would not deserve me at my best.
