Urban Britain?
This article has peaked my interest. For many of us who live in towns and cities all we see is the urban landscape. But how much of the UK IS urban?

The real question should be,how much of the "green" 98% is in the hands of private owners?
Our favourite newspaper has some answers, although it is an old story.

Up here in East Yorkshire its still very green, and very stunning on a sunny day too. Just a shame the road sides are covered in flytipping and mean looking pikeys, and the fields are filling with 125mtr tall wind turbines to spoil the view...

Quite why they needed 500 experts to calculate this ? 1 GIS package doing unsupervised classification could have sorted that in 5 seconds

Just another attempt by the two major scaremongers to put forward the left wing idea that all of Britain should be devoted to council housing I suppose. After all, countryside stuff is so boring, inefficient, dirty and uneconomical. And just think how many more immigrants/pikeys/asylum seekers/benefit recipients could be absorbed/dumped.
No sooner did we form into teams than we were re-organised.
I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet every situation by re-organising and what a wonderful method it is for giving the illusion of progress whilst only producing confusion, inefficiency & demoralisation.

Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists but I was not one of them, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews but I was not Jewish so I did not speak out. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.
