now that is a gleaming idea .........
    It's not uniform.

    Keep trying.

Oh, and no, it doesn't count as Civilian Clothes Allowance.

Are you a man or a mouse? As someone said before, it should all be going through the PRI anyway, so what are you crying for? Are you out of pocket?

(I knew the real me would re-appear soon).

when I get posted I leave all the Regtl T shirts and stuff behind for my replacement on the proviso that he/she gets the first round in on my old dets next function.

Likewise i ring up my new unit and speak to person who i am replacing, same speal, but i'll be getting the first round in.

Keeps everyone happy, plus you end up with shit loads of stuff normally

I used to nick shit from the drying rooms too. I don't think it counts as being 'given' the things though to be honest.

Ok going to end this now as its starting to devolve - as for me being out of pocket if you read the original post it wasnt about me it was about the guys at the lower end of the payscale being forced to buy a t shirt that they dont want under threat of AGAI.

Thanks for your help, I got my answer. Job Done

As I said, go ahead & prove it. If I had been a nasty bastard like that I could have done it & got away with it.

Trust me, I am far more clever & far more devious than the most vociferous barrack room lawyer & guess what, the law would have been on my side unless I'd kicked the arrse out of it. To an extent it's an element of leadership, manipulating people into doing things they don't want to do without them even realising they've been manipulated.

To eat well in England one must have breakfast three times a day

London: its "buzz" and "vibrancy"... can be codewords for drugs, late-night noise and multi-culturalism run (literally) riot.

Tell the BQMS that the lads want to know why they are being asked to buy an issue t shirt with a badge on it, surely they should be issued the badge to get sewn on?

I was thinking of getting all my tour and Sqn,Coy,Regt,Bn etc t-shirts and cutting the badges off them. I was then going to put them in a nice case and display them in chronological order in my living room.

However,I think there is now more value to be had in wearing them down the pub when I get out of this Army and cadging a few free beers out of folk while I regale them with my military tales of yore.
    Big_Regular_Imbiber, book coming soon.
