Perhaps more to do with the fact the Falkland Islanders tried to give the Argentine Ambassador to the UN a letter which he spitefully refused to accept.
Cheap stunt.

Quote from BBC News - David Cameron confronts Fernandez over Falkland Islands
Ms Fernandez then appeared to show Mr Cameron a letter BBC political editor Nick Robinson said outlined UN Resolution 40 of November 1985, which requests both governments to negotiate a "peaceful" resolution to the Falklands dispute.
FFS, I thought the Argentinian surrender over three years earlier classed as satisfying that UN Resolution or have we been at war again and I missed it somehow?

if he had slowly ripped it to bits and let them flutter to the floor, before walking away he may gone up a little in the polls.Even better he could have dropped his pants and wiped his arse on it just to show the silly cow thats an end to it.

And that is really what it's all about, plus of course the oil prospects.
She's getting further and further up the creek without a paddle. Economically in the short term, she's running out of bread so she's hoping to get some cake to try and keep the crowds happy.
Serving blokes might not like the idea but I still think we should make better use of the Falkland Islands for training purposes. If the oil works out as expected, they will need a larger military presence anyway otherwise Kirchner might be able to pursuade some of the nutters in the region to help her intervene.
A larger military presence for training purposes would have an obvious secondary purpose to signal our resolve to defend the Islands for the Falkland Islanders.I was a good runner in the mob. I alway's liked to think I could get out of trouble quicker than what I got into it!
