A good point. If the fuckers get into the kitchen they have a choice of a 14" Sabatier, one of those Chinese sharp cleavers for chopping veg and a big fuck-off butchers cleaver.

I like to keep my golf clubs in the bedroom. One of these days I must try golf.

    Place bets now.

I've got a three foot long Samuari sword under the bed. If the sight of me screaming down the stairs naked with 36 inches of gleaming weapon in one hand and a FOB Japanese sword in the other doesn't frighten them off I'm planning on landing on them hard enough to knock them out then exploring their anus with my bellend.

Is it worth making a complaint to the police, Andy? You'll know this much better than I do, but from what I was told by the wife of a friend of mine (she was from Busan), when something of this sort happened in her apartment block, the local bobbies sorted the problem out with judicious application of a side-handled baton and an ambulance, and the predator wasn't seen again... (granted, this was during the days when the President of S Korea came with the word 'General' forming part of his name, but the police still look to be fairly handy in riot situations... Or are they now hobbled by a Korean equivalent of PACE?)

He stated it was after school. You try and find after school care in the UK for children over the age of 11, it's nigh on impossible. The only option I had to my daughter being at home alone after school once she left primary school was to quit my job.

OP, you've got a well-switched on kid there, hope you've showered her with praise. Don't think there's anything to add to what you've already said, except is there a friend that could walk home from school with her in the afternoon? It does seem a bit like she's being targeted.

    Archimedes:

TBH, Korean riot cops are fair-to-middling when it comes to knocking together the heads of demonstraters, but Korean beat cops are not reputed to be much cop: Many locals don't even bother reporting crimes.

However, as it happens, I am acquainted with one inspector - though he is national, not local - and shall be seeking his counsel tomorrow.

Yep, she goes to and from school mob-handed, and Mum is going to join her for the next week or so.

The targeting possibility is the real fear.

In the uk people don't commonly wear surgical masks in Korea they do. People lean on doors

My solution was to get a job that started and finished early enough for me to be home before them!
