That would mean he was in 7 Armoured, late '80s. Pure speculation.

You are, in effect, forcing your beliefs on another, why not leave him to his delusions?

I'm not aiming this at you directly, it's more a general question to anyone who doesn't believe.
Good point. It may be a case of Atheism only very recently being "allowed" in society wanting to express it's voice. Heresay or even being the wrong flavour of Christian was after all punishable by death at points in our history

Religion and its unquestioned promotion has been forced upon people for so long it is inevitable that non-believers want to push back. My 8 year old came home from school telling me that I am not her real father not so long ago, all because the local CofE vicar had been in spouting his nonsense as the Headmaster smiled that special benign smile that we reserve for the Queen Mum, puppies and fairy tales.

Maybe its time for a mutual ceasefire but the Church, in it's widest sense, would never agree to that because they rely on preaching and lecturing to keep the word alive

All is fiction. All is story. How else do humans communicate, via binary code?

Borrowing slapstick logic from T'Internet posters who can't spell Claus an argument doth not make. It's axiomatic that the two genres of story don't equate.
"As we moved slowly through the outskirts of the town we passed row after row of little grey slum houses running at right angles to the embankment. At the back of one of the houses a young woman was kneeling on the stones, poking a stick up the leaden waste-pipe which ran from the sink inside and which I suppose was blocked. I had time to see everything about her - her sacking apron, her clumsy clogs, her arms reddened by the cold. She looked up as the train passed, and I was almost near enough to catch her eye." Have you started this thread because you don't get enough religious callers knocking at your door?

It's quite simple, there is no such thing as a "God", except for Nature, that is to say, Science.

Organised Religions are just examples of organised conmen preying on the weak minded and superstious.

I feel quite sure that one day calling youself religious will have you declared mentally ill. The more devout someone is, then the more need there will be to have them committed.

Ritual for tradition's sake is ok and would evolve over time anyway, but all this ritual for superstion? No, it's total bollocks.

I didn't say "He Exists". I said God is intelligible as is your consciousness. And that your consciousness does not exist evidentially. However you're prepared to intuit your consciousness. Play with a straight bat.

Are they available on Ebay? I have always liked those black Nike sandals with the slightly curled up toe, so as I do not chip a nail on a rock. But if I could buy sandals that shrieked DISDAIN, how cool would that be?

Fucks sakes. Anybody remember the good old days when ARRSE had a door policy and big lads to enforce it? Fucking Hull. And in a discussion about God. I am disappointed.
