John Major was at the Jubleree concert. The Blessed Margaret was presumably too sick.
To eat well in England one must have breakfast three times a day

    Somerset Maugham

London: its "buzz" and "vibrancy"... can be codewords for drugs, late-night noise and multi-culturalism run (literally) riot.

Major and wife was in the Royal box! I grant you Thatcher wasn't but considering she must be about 150 years old and GAGA now no real surprise she didn't make it.

Just thinking "concert" and "Gaga" & imagining Baroness Thatcher leaping out of a cake in a transparent PVC dress singing "Poker Face"

not a pleasant thought. To be honest I don't know who was and wasn't there becaruse I avoided the Jubilee as I would a needy relative.

I suspect Blair has no interest in gaining any honours because he would then have to register his business interests with the Lords. As it stands the Arabs and Yanks love him with or without a peeerage

Gordon Brown (with his wife Sarah) attended a Celebration of the Queens Diamond Jubilee at Dunfermline Abbey.

According to the Daily Mirror Blair was invited but had booked a holiday, Brown had already accepted a wedding inviitation

Seeing as Blair seems unable to walk around in the UK without attracting attention seeking tossers I'm not sure I blame him. Same with Brown.

    Booked a holiday you say?
well considering the world and it's dog knew this event was going to take place from about three years ago, it looked like the gruesome twosome managed to rustle up a few face savers of excuses.
