Edinburgh/SAXON, bad mix!
It is warm work and this day may be the last to us at any moment, but mark you! I would not be elsewhere for thousands.

I seem to remember that a lot of older blokes having been in the mob during the war and the national service lot still being around in considerable numbers meant that while you didn't get any kudos for being in the mob in them days certainly made for a friendlier atmosphere generally.
There were the younger generation who would want to have a go and take on the "Army" but that was more of a "young bloke wants to prove himself in front of his mates" sort of behaviour.
If you wanted abuse, and more, across the water was the place to go.I was a good runner in the mob. I alway's liked to think I could get out of trouble quicker than what I got into it!

Any abuse I had tended to come from red-faced little men with Crowns or Royal Arms on their sleeves, but I tended to find a casual wave of the hand and, "carry on please, Sergeant-Major" did the trick

Thicky non-Grad Regular Officers were also a bit of a bane, but generally quite easy to make disappear in a puff of their own logic. To eat well in England one must have breakfast three times a day

London: its "buzz" and "vibrancy"... can be codewords for drugs, late-night noise and multi-culturalism run (literally) riot.

I've been abused many a time whilst in uniform - walking up and down sennybridge, carrying a fecking heavy Bergan whilst getting snowed/rained on for days on end.
Oh, some civvie ratbag shouting 'abuse'? That's more like amusement than anything!"See The Little Faggot With The Earring And The Make-Up

An entire Anglian battalion was abused by a dozen muslims in Luton about 5 years ago... I saw it on telly and I claim my £5 from Lord Ashcroft .
Overactively underachieving for almost half a century.

Twas a fairly regular thing when nipping into the local chippy on the way home from drill night. Normally some ned parked up outside on his 50cc scooter. Ignore and carry on, unless they got in range of a clip round the back of the head.
Whilst a reg down south I can't remember any abuse..but then again we never ventured out on foot in green. Something about someone called Mick or Paddy not liking us to much.

Its not just in the UK we get abused in uniform though. I remember an old couple ranting and raging at me at a set of traffic lights in Osnabruck and it shocked me when the gentleman threw a track pad in my direction that had alledgedly come off my Warrior 513 only moments before and ended up in his windscreen. Does anyone know if theres a claims line i can get any compo from????

Me. I'm still in. Why? Got some abuse you want to hurl?
Demoralize the enemy from within by surprise, terror, sabotage, assassination. This is the war of the future.
