Agreed. The odds will be evens that she'll say something unfortunate. Why else has Rupe protected her for as long, if not longer, than is appropriate? But I won't bet on her - the odds are too short. If you want a bet, try giving me a good price on Osborne coming a cropper (he who enjoys the company of dominating women and would have been putty in her experienced hands). I'll stick a fiver on Osborne having to admit a few serious errors at the party discussing the bid. And I don't mean jumping on the table and lighting his farts in a Bullingdon Club "socially exclusive" display.

I can't wait to see what little things comes out of the forensic examination of the computer.
Pays to be technically aware!
It'll be great to watch a treasury counsel at the Old Bailey go at them. And do you think they'll take it on their own heads.
Not likely, people in posh offices will be cacking themselves for ages.
And this is one reason why the enquiry QC had to be careful, because he can't touch what might come up in court.
We could well have nasty skeletons coming out of the cupboards for ages now. And London and Parliament will be cleaner for a sunlight and disinfectant. We might not enjoy it and what it says about us as a country, but the prize is worth the pain.

Possibly not a popular point of view, but when this can of worms was opened, it was highlighted that the NOTW and NI ware not the only publication and publisher that where involved in phone hacking, so why does it seem to be them who are getting all the flack?
To me this sticks of a which hunt against NI rather than looking for ALL those involved.
At least the hacks at my local paper (the only one I buy) will not be getting investaged anytime soon

It depends on how much the establishment wants to nail Brooks, Coulson, et al.
If they're serious, they'll bring the small fry to trial first and try and build a firm foundation so those further up the food chain have their room for manoeuvre curtailed by the evidence in earlier trials.
If they're not so serious, they'll put the headline cases on first and give Brooks and Coulson wriggle room before their underlings testify.
Trial order will have a significant bearing on the verdicts.

Well, they have to be convicted first!
Let's hope the dominos fall of newspaper people, private eyes, corrupt police.
Any cop who took money off them should roast in hell.

Sorry, the CPS was "postuing"? Remind me what she did for a living again and how she did it?n a statement, they accused the CPS of "posturing" and said: "We deplore this weak and unjust decision."
This is going to be one hell of a trial.

Also, call me a cynic if you will, but with all the heat and a possible custodial for this, will a decision be made to drop the corruption charges and so remove the heat from the Plod? It would suit several parties from embarrassing questions in one hit?
