    Fair one.

But sarcasm has just been held to be part of your ECHR enshrined right to freedom of expression. Not that I'll be bringing that up during my PDR to determine if I make Winsor's 10% bottom of cops that should be put on an action plan.

Mr Justice Beatson said there was "a need for politicians to have thicker skins than others".

The judge, sitting in Cardiff, set aside the censure by the Adjudication Panel for Wales.

He said that, although the panel was entitled to conclude that some of Mr Calver's comments breached its code of conduct, Mr Calver held the "trump card" in his freedom of expression.

Public office holders should live with "sarcasm and lampooning" as part of the day-to-day political process, he said.

I don't have freedom of expression - I'm not allowed the day off to march on 10/5/12!

And what the fcuk is lampooning?

Robert McCracken QC, representing Mr Calver, told the court that the concept of "rudeness" had no place when it came to criticising public office holders.

I think it's one of those "Judge's words" that they use and no-one else does.

In fairness I'd never heard of "Practicable" untill going through police foundation training.

Funny that duties' offices are not letting people have that day off!

To eat well in England one must have breakfast three times a day

    Somerset Maugham

London: its "buzz" and "vibrancy"... can be codewords for drugs, late-night noise and multi-culturalism run (literally) riot.

A few shot dead rioters would suit me!
I was told by a well informed chap on these matters, that there was no heavy gauge shotgun rounds to be had for love nor money in Londisistan last year at the height of the rioting.

Of course, they might have all been bought up by plod……

Lampooning certainly has an element of ambiguity to it...

Do you mean those Judges words like 'space docking' and 'reach around'?

So, having demonstrated nicely what happens if the police stand back the next time it happens they can authorise baton rounds secure in the knowledge that the general populace will respond with a slap on the back and cried of "Well done. About bloody time too."

Yes, well it's all jolly nice for the Islington set to 'relate' to the 'poor downtrodden proles' over their lattes when it's ordinary peoples gaff being burned down, but when shit got real?

OH TARQUIL!!!! LOOK DARLING! THEY'RE ATTACKING NICE SOCIALLY AWARE GUARDIANISTA PEOPLE LIKE US!

If they had come to see me then I could have supplied about 500 slug per day easily. Lets face it the first 30 or so fired would put an end to the sillyness!
