The good people of Hull East voted to keep Prescott in HoC for nearly 40 years - they deserve him!! Pity about the other people living in the police authority area

The electorate of East Hull are just a minority compared to the rest of the HP authority area which in the main is Conservative.
They voted for the organ-grinder not the monkey. The good people of Hull East voted to keep Prescott in HoC for nearly 40 years -Last edited by sunami; 11-02-2012 at 13:38.

Is this the same John Prescott who tried to get his son be parachuted into his safe seat in Hull
The same man who claimed his son was victim of a smear campaign when he didn't get choosen
The same son who claimed he was just an "East Hull lad who just wanted to carry on from his dad doing good in the city".
The same father and son team who when campaiging in Cheshire forgot all about Hull? -David, 39, of Hull, said: “I have long and deep Cheshire roots and I have always seen it as my family home.
“I want to be the voice of Weaver Vale in Westminster, not the voice of Westminster in Weaver Vale.
The same who Lord Prescott who the Daily Mail reported quotes given by Prescott which firmly ruled out peerage:
"I don't want to be a member of the House of Lords. I will not accept it.
My wife Pauline would quite like me to accept it, but why should I be sidelined to the Lords when I could do so much more for the Labour movement?
"Being a lord is not for three years or four years, it is for life. There are other things I want to get involved in
Or I wonder if it's the same Prescott who a docker told me that if you didn't vote the way he told you, you could expect to arrive home to find the house without windows and your wife with a "message from the lads"
He could do for the police what he did for the Fireman and the dockers (ala Chumbawumba)
Beat them down over their pay demands and fucked them proper when they went on strike.
He could foist new control centres that they didn't want or need on them.
A FAILED fire service shake-up by former Deputy PM John Prescott cost taxpayers half a billion pounds, according to MPs.
The FireControl project was launched in 2004 to replace 46 control rooms with nine regional bases.
But seven years on, NONE of the new facilities is up and running.
Eight are empty and cost £4million a month to maintain.
The Coalition has scrapped the project, which has so far cost taxpayers £469million.
The Commons public accounts committee called it "one of the worst cases of project failure" it had seen.
Chairwoman Margaret Hodge said: "It was rushed, without proper understanding of costs or risks. No one has been held to account."
Only five of the regional centres are likely to be used by the fire service in future. We should remember the tremendous contribution of the Queen Mother to the war effort:
As the BBC pointed out, she 'bravely remained in London beside her husband' during the war.
This contrasts sharply with the actions of my grandfather who, on the declaration of war immediately left his wife and children and pissed off, first to France, then North Africa, Italy, France (again) and finally Germany.
The shame will always be with us.

Not much to destroy in Humberside, more a case of moving the rubble around.

Syrup
That is a wonderful summary of the 'man'. I just wonder, with your excellent knowledge of John and all he has 'done' for this country, whether you should consider offering yourself to him as is Election Agent? You seem to have the perfect qualifications

We have Baron Hard up, and our very own pantomime dame Lord Mayor, (waddling and mincing for office) they are both in the Labour party, which has opposed the creation of elected police commissioners, but from a cnut who said he was an opponent of "flunkery and titles" and 2 years later took one.
by the way the big house he got that on the cheap, it was a Sally army preggy house, that he got the whisper about.
Sold 2 plots of land off his garden for 80k, even dictating what types of plants could be planted!
and when he filled his jag up at Sutton garage and paid by ministerial cheque, he put 2 bunches of cheap flowers on, 1 for Pauline,1 for Tracey."the Chieftain is the greatest tank in the world, as long as it breaks down in the right spot".
