But you must let the rumours fly. Where would the fun be in just recognising the truth. The Foot Guards have been operating
the Five Battalion Division model for many years............ and it works. It's almost as if we kind of knew the way things were going
to pan out. Just need the chippies to fall in line with our model and peace and harmony will reign again. It's not difficult.Stop looking at my cock.
HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y KEVLAR - which means....... fu.ck you jack, I'm bulletproof.

Frankly, I'd be more worried if I were joining a CS or CSS Corps/Regiment as a full-timer; if you fancy doing it as TA, you might be in for a laugh.
I think the Combat Arms will get off relatively lightly - there has been a recognition that Inf especially is quite hard to do in a TA manner."In war the loser deserves to lose because his defeat must result from errors of thinking, made either before or during the conflict" Gen Andre Beaufre

I'll get me coat.Dishonour before death!!
My Service Career and work ethic - Too much a poof for the SAS, too lazy for P Coy, too sea sick for the Marines, too inept for anything vaguly glamourous, but not too scared to ask that fat MT lass to dance down the bop.

To be honest I've heard things through the grapevine that the infantry as a whole may be amalgated into 1 big regiment. It makes sense but takes away the individuality in a regiment... But again it's probably just one those rumours created by silly individuals with jack all better to do.
"When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains, and the women come out to cut up what remains, jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains and go to your gawd like a soldier."

Not an obvious typo as I've spelt it properly twice in the first post then, no?
Would you like some tissues? Seems like you need something to cry into..
I heard something that sounded plausable and could affect my service and seeing as I've picked up some handy information on this site before I thought I'd come here and ask if anyone else knew.
It's cost me nothing and clearly annoyed you, win/win so far

Please post back and update us on the kicking you will receive when you brandish your attitude for the first time in training.
You will be crying like a baby by day 2 and you will have used all your lifelines by then.
You will be sat sobbing (with a bruised nose) in front of an officer explaining how the army is not for you.
You will however be able to become an "ex-army" statistic when you are homeless and become a resident at her majesty's pleasure at some point.

This will never happen ....
It wouldn't make any difference if they did. Every regiment would start arguing over the right to be the 1st Infantry Regiment ( lets face it , who would want to be number 34 ? ) , wear distinct items of uniform and maintain their own traditions .Overactively underachieving for almost half a century.
