Cabana,
Let me give you our attitude towards like.
I write humorous stories about my army life.
It is on ARRSE.
I have tried publishers. They find it too niche!
If it published, I will run into money and be able to do many things that I have not been able to do till now.
Yet, am I disheartened?
No.
I find pleasure that at least some people like reading them in ARRSE.
What cannot be cured, must be endured - English idiom - Indian culture!
See how close we are!

Times Of India: last year a report in the aforementioned newspaper asked why when questioned as to how the 250 Million given in aid from the UK was distributed, no answer was given, not one cent could be accounted for. But being a clever little ‘arrser’ I can tell you the basics of the system.
India is almost second to none in its corruption systems, and these mainly are the privileges of the Politicians and the otherwise graft aided wealthy.
It is quite simple really, especially now that the election season is here, the papers are full of stories about the politicians who have amassed wealth far beyond their earned income, so why is this system there?
Last week TOI Paper reported that one area where the populace guaranteed income per day was not to be permitted below 100 rupees. The evidence shown however was that the daily wage earned was between 1 and 10 rupees per day?
A government politician investigated two areas. One was Mumbai (Bombay) the other was a small town somewhere in a rural district I think it was Uttar Pradesh (UP), the said politician stated that 25 rupees per day was adequate for a man to be classed as living above the poverty line? And for Mumbai the figure was 35 rupees? (100 rupees is about 75 pence sterling)
It is in the vested interest for the working lower classes to be paid as little as possible, they do not complain, if they did they would be sacked. The wealthy need to produce the goods that we in the UK purchase from Primart at a ridiculously low price Pounds 2.50 whilst the branch across the street of Marks and Spencer sell the same product at Pounds 39.98 (I bought exactly the same product in Vasco Da Gamma for 250 Rupees.
The reason that the goods can be sold so cheaply is quite simple, the workers wages are pitiful. The bosses pocket the cash and the workers starve. NB: Marks and Sparks across the road from Primart shut down 18 months ago. (Swindon High St).
It is the same old story, “the rich get richer and the poor get pregnant”
The aid from the UK? The political parties have that to do up their own properties, their BMW’s at the taxpayers expense, the jaunts abroad to ‘Switzerland’ for they and their families. I know this, been there, seen it, done it, and got the ‘T-shirt. (I have lived here for the last 5 Years, but will return to the UK this year for good.
