Ok it's a bit like this I'm in the medical protection society and if I had a problem I couldn't get advice from UNISON as I'm not a member.

I would like to think that in that situation, I would hope that the accused would receive a fair trial and if convicted, a just sentence.

In reality, I would probably be baying for the bastard's blood.

Like I say I am not sure that this lad received a fair trial or that the FCO did its best to help him.

I did not come here to pick a fight.

I said I would post the article on here as a favour for a mate of a mate.

You have your opinion, I have mine.

If he was on a private holiday and not on Army business then I hope he wouldn't get help as (as far as I'm aware) he isn't a British citizen.

There no evidence he didn't recieve a fair trial. The daddy says darling boy is innocent. Too bad daddy wasnt a eyewitness otherwise daddys proclaimation is hearsay and not evidence.

I can't be arrsed to read the entire thread - but the 4 pages I have read contain a phrase along the lines of "I think".

It doesn't matter what you think. What you think, or I think, is immaterial. The law is the law, and that is it. You are entitled to your opinion, it is as valid as everyone elses, e.g. two parts of feck all squared. However, unlike everyone else you don't actually seem to think beyond your opinion, or listen to what other have pointed out:

Btw, why not tell your mate's mate to drive his own outrage bus; "a friend" is highly implausible when you start arguing yourself into a corner for a subject that - you claim - is not your personal crusade. Either grow a pair and admit you are wrong, and nothing further is said (snigger), or grow a pair and tell your mate's mate to post his own shit.

Have a good weekend. Try not to use "my mate's mate fancies you" as a chatup line.

He's lucky he murdered somebody in Bulgaria. If he survives prison he will still have plenty of years ahead of him as a free man.
There are about 60 countries in the world that might well have executed him. He brought this one on himself and deserves to be where he is. Personally I'm quite glad that I won't run the risk of bumping into him in a pub next time he's on leave and pissed up.
