You know I could have some constructive debate with you if it wasn't for armourer. If you'd care to look at the archived posts on my journal. Around Feb of this year. You'll see that armourer is talking complete and utter tripe.
He doesn't like me because I'm a Republican. That's it pure and simple.
As for the RUC when I was over there I had two of them at my cousins door in Ballymena where I was staying. They were complete gentlemen unlike your friend armourer. I don't hate British soldiers, I hate the British Army. I don't hate PS men. Times have changed for the better.
manchestercop and the others, have a look at my archived journal posts (and excuse the spelling) and you'll see that yer man armourer couldn't be more wide of the mark.
I only hate the Loyalist paramilitaries and the DUPes. Of course the RUC have been abused by Loyalists when they felt they were being "traitors to ulster." I particularly remember the "Ulster says No" campaign when RUC houses were attacked. That was in 1984 or 85.
Remember this thread is not about the conflict. It's about me and the lies that armourer is telling.
Do people not have to back up what they say on here with evidence?
Does no one ask for proof?

I’m in no way fighting Armourers corner but see my previous post about your own outrageous claims. As for you other comment that you don’t dislike Brit Squaddies just the Army, well that is just plain old woolly thinking as TCB would say. Simply doesn’t add up.

I've just had a look at your current affairs bit and I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately I can't see past this thread. It just sits there like a stinking pile of dung.

This thread has probably run its course. This site has a big mixture of people and although you think armourer is in some way taking others in you will find that is not true. Most people who bother to think for themselves will take you on the strength of your arguments and not what others say about you.

You’ve come on here and declared loudly you are a republican. You want to have a serious debate then provided you can back up you point of view with genuine sources/references I think you might find some interesting a rewarding debate in current affairs.

Well I'm sure you understand how I wasn't in the mood for reasoned debate when I landed on this site. I mentioned how I found it.
I was showing the girlfriend's boy how you can use google to search for anything if you use the right keywords. Now I typed in my nickname and seen this so, naturally, I was curious. I looked in on the thread and well, you seen what happened.
Basically I saw people that I don't know throwing all sorts of abuse with what they thought would be impunity.
No one e-mailed me. If I hadn't found this by accident then all this would have went unchallenged.
I'll admit I was mainly on the wind up because I had you all down for loons tbh.

It wasn't through the support of Glasgow Celtic that I discovered the realities of Ireland.
I was a Motherwell supporter, as it happens, and I put up with the sash and up tae ar knees etc, 'cos I supported my home team.

As a word of advice I would be very careful about openly advocating such groups as the PIRA - As I understand it they are out of favour even among some of the more militant areas of Northern ireland. You might just end up in trouble.
